Position Summary
The Janitorial Staff member is responsible for carrying out all cleaning and sanitation activities throughout the facility in accordance with the current cleaning and sanitation program, ensuring that all areas remain clean, organized, and in proper condition.
Key Responsibilities
Perform cleaning and housekeeping duties in all designated areas of the facility, including production areas, cafeteria, restrooms, offices, and outdoor areas.
Maintain all assigned areas clean at all times, performing cleaning tasks as often as required based on the use of each area.
Follow the established cleaning procedures for each area of the facility and use the assigned cleaning tools and equipment in accordance with the HACCP color-coding system.
Properly operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, and their accessories.
Properly use and care for the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided to ensure a safe working environment.
Safely use, handle, and store cleaning chemicals according to the manufacturer's recommendations.
Perform all scheduled cleaning and sanitation activities in accordance with the current cleaning program.
Carry out duties related to the position, including replenishing restrooms with toilet paper, soap, and other necessary supplies.
Accurately record completed cleaning and sanitation activities in the corresponding logs and reports.
Be responsible for the proper use and care of all tools, equipment, and materials provided to perform assigned duties.
Keep all cleaning equipment assigned to the area in good condition, including vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, accessories, brooms, mops, cleaning cloths, buckets, and other cleaning tools. Notify the Food Safety Coordinator when replacement of equipment or materials is needed.
Key Requirements
Previous experience in janitorial services, housekeeping, or general cleaning; experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is preferred.
Preferred: Experience operating cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, air blow guns, or similar equipment.
