Position Summary
The Industrial Automation Manager will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation solutions for our X-ray sterilization plant. This includes material handling systems, dosimetry robots, conveyor networks, and real-time traceability platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in PLC programming, database integration, and deep knowledge of Siemens industrial automation environments (TIA Portal, WinCC, S7 PLCs), as well as industrial communication protocols such as PROFINET, Ethernet/IP, and Modbus.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and integration of automated material handling systems (conveyors, sorters, transfer systems) for high-capacity processing.
Oversee the implementation and maintenance of robotic systems for automated dosimetry and process validation.
Develop and optimize PLC programs (primarily using Siemens TIA Portal) to control industrial equipment, safety systems, and process monitoring.
Design and manage traceability systems to capture real-time data on product movement and processing using SQL databases and integrated SCADA solutions.

Collaborate with engineering, quality, and operations teams to ensure automation systems meet technical, regulatory, and operational requirements.
Manage system commissioning, troubleshooting, updates, and continuous improvements within the facility.
Coordinate and supervise contractors, system integrators, and technology vendors when necessary.
Document control logic, system architecture, and validation protocols in compliance with applicable standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 11137, USDA/APHIS requirements).
