Position Summary
The Material Handling Operator is responsible for loading, unloading, and handling products throughout the facility, ensuring they are properly organized, transported, labeled, and prepared according to operational procedures and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Follow the supervisor's instructions for arranging products inside containers and returning products to pallets after processing.
Re-stack and organize products on pallets when they arrive outside of specification.
Complete maintenance and operational logs as required.
Perform general plant cleaning duties when necessary.
Load and unload products from trucks and other transportation vehicles.
Load and unload products onto the irradiator conveyor system.
Inspect trailer interiors at designated CTPAT inspection points.
Verify and record shipment quantities and inventory counts.
Label pallets accurately according to operational requirements.
Key Requirements
Basic education (elementary school or equivalent).
Forklift operation experience is preferred.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Ability to understand and follow instructions provided by the immediate supervisor.
Strong organizational skills and a high level of discipline.
