Position Summary
Automation & Controls
Support development and maintenance of PLC and HMI systems.
Assist in troubleshooting automation and electrical control systems.
Support startup, commissioning, and optimization of industrial equipment.
Participate in software modifications, testing, and validation.
Assist in documenting automation logic, alarms, and system configurations.
Conveyor & Material Handling Systems
Support operation and optimization of conveyor systems and pallet handling equipment.
Integrate and troubleshoot sensors, motors, VFDs, barcode systems, and positioning systems.
Support process flow improvements and operational reliability initiatives.
Assist with automation integration for irradiation processing systems.
Industrial Networking & Data Systems
Support industrial communication systems including PROFINET, Ethernet/IP, and Modbus TCP.
Assist in integrating automation systems with SCADA and database systems.
Support production monitoring and operational reporting systems.
Help maintain automation backups and system documentation.
Engineering & Operations Support
Work collaboratively with operations, maintenance, engineering, and quality teams.
Support external contractors and system integrators during projects and commissioning.
Participate in preventive maintenance and root-cause analysis activities.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Safety & Compliance
Follow industrial safety and operational procedures.
Support implementation of safe automation and control system practices.
Participate in safety reviews and operational risk assessments.

Key Requirements
Required
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, Control Systems, or related field.
Basic to intermediate experience with industrial automation systems.
Understanding of PLCs, sensors, motors, and industrial controls.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Willingness to work hands-on in industrial environments.
English and Spanish communication skills.
Preferred
Experience with Siemens PLCs, TIA Portal, or WinCC.
Experience with conveyor systems or material handling automation.
Experience with industrial communication protocols.
Familiarity with SQL databases, SCADA systems, or production monitoring systems.
Experience in manufacturing, food processing, sterilization, or industrial operations.
