Position Summary
The Cleaning and Sanitation Associate plays a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and regulatory compliance of all areas within a high-standard industrial facility dedicated to food processing, medical devices, or pharmaceuticals. Responsibilities include executing daily cleaning and disinfection tasks across production floors, offices, restrooms, dining areas, and exterior zones while strictly adhering to HACCP protocols and internal quality systems. The position requires proper use of color-coded equipment, safe handling of cleaning chemicals, and consistent use of personal protective equipment to ensure a clean, safe, and contamination-free environment that meets industry regulations and audit requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out all cleaning and tidying tasks in the various areas of the plant (operation floor, dining room, restrooms, offices, and outdoor areas).
Ensure that all areas remain clean at all times.
Correctly follow the established guidelines for each cleaning zone and the equipment assigned to it, in accordance with HACCP color codes.
Use and care for the Personal Protective Equipment provided to mitigate risks.
Handle, use, and store hazardous cleaning chemicals according to the manufacturer's recommendations.
Perform scheduled cleaning and disinfection activities in accordance with the current program.
Key Requirements
Basic education (primary or secondary school completed).
Proven experience in cleaning or maintenance roles preferred.
Proven experience in industry cleaning and sanitation such as medical device manufacturing, pharmaceuticals or food procesing industies.
Knowledge of safe handling, use, and storage of cleaning chemicals (Hazardous Chemical Substances).
Familiarity with hygiene and sanitation protocols, especially within industrial or food processing environments.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and cleaning schedules with discipline and consistency.
Understanding and application of color-coded cleaning systems in accordance with HACCP guidelines.
Responsible use and care of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Physical ability to perform repetitive tasks, stand for long periods, and carry moderate loads.
Punctuality, reliability, and attention to detail.
Team-oriented attitude and willingness to support colleagues when needed.
